Applesauce Donuts with Maple Glaze

Delicious Applesauce Donuts with Maple Glaze.  Fall has arrived and it is time to whip up some new recipes for your family.  These donuts are baked not fried.  Set a plate of these donuts in front of your husband, kids, friends or co-workers, along with a glass of apple cider and silence will happen.

Applesauce Donuts & Maple Glaze

Servings 12 donuts

Ingredients

Donuts:

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 cup heaped full applesauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder.

Maple Glaze:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp of Maple syrup
  • 3/4 tsp maple flavor and
  • 3 tsp milk.

Instructions

Donuts

  • Mix everything in order, stirring well.
  • Add 2 cups 100 percent whole wheat flour.
  • Mix until combined.
  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray you donut pan. Fill 1/4 of the way full. Bake for 15 to 20 minute.

Maple Glaze:

  • Stir everything together.
  • Dunk top of the donuts in the maple glaze.
  • Set on cooling rack to drip.
  • Enjoy
