Grilled Whole Onion In Foil
Ingredients
- 4 large sweet onions, such as vidalia
- 2 tsp worcestshire sauce
- 2 tsp butter
- 2 beef boullion cubes halved
- salt and pepper to taste optional
Instructions
- Peel the onions and slice a little off the bottoms (just enough so they sit up straight). Use a corer or the pointed end of a peeler to core out an cavity about a 1/2 inch wide in the middle of each onion. Be careful not to cut through the bottoms.
- Fill each cavity with 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp. butter, and 1/2 boullion cube. Salt and pepper the tops if you like.
- Wrap each onion in heavy foil with the closing at the top.
- Place the onions on a preheated grill away from direct heat. Grill for 50 to 60 minutes or until they feel soft when lightly squeezed. That's it, enjoy with your favorite grilled entree.
