In a bowl, mix together the ground meat, tomato sauce, half a cup of shredded cheese, chili powder, garlic powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Slice the bell peppers lengthwise and remove the seeds.
Brush or spray the exterior of the bell peppers with olive oil.
Fill the pepper halves with the prepared meat mixture. Lightly spray the tops of the peppers and meat. Arrange the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket or tray. If your air fryer has a small basket, you might need to cook in two batches.
Air fry at 360°F for 12-16 minutes or until the meat is thoroughly cooked. Add the remaining cheese on top of the meat and cook for an additional minute to melt the cheese.
Serve with your choice of green onions, salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
