1cupgranulated sugaror 3/4 cup honey or maple syrup, plus extra to taste
3/4cupfiltered water
Instructions
In a big saucepan, mix together the sugar (or your choice of honey or maple syrup) with the water. Place it on medium heat and stir until everything is dissolved.
Toss in the cranberries and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer uncovered. Stir occasionally, and keep an eye on it until the cranberries start to burst and the sauce thickens, which should take about 12-15 minutes.
If you like it sweeter, feel free to add more maple syrup, honey, or sugar to your taste. Once done, take it off the heat and let the sauce cool to room temperature before serving.
