First, toss the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse them until they turn into fine crumbs. Set these crumbs aside.

In a large bowl, take the very cold milk and whisk in the chocolate pudding mix for about 2 minutes, or until it starts to thicken. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until it’s smooth with no streaks.

Next, pour in 1/4 cup of the chocolate syrup and give it a couple of gentle stirs. You want to maintain those beautiful streaks in the mixture. Once it’s done, refrigerate it until you’re ready to put it all together.

Grab nine 8-ounce cups and add 2 tablespoons of the Oreo crumbs into each cup. Spoon about 3 to 4 tablespoons of the pudding mixture over the crumbs. Repeat these layers until you reach the top of your cups.

On the last layer of pudding, sprinkle another tablespoon of Oreo crumbs to finish it off.

For the 'mud' effect, mix the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup with the leftover cookie crumbs until it looks shiny and clumpy. Set this mixture to the side for decorating.

To create the graveyard scene, use black icing and Milano cookies to make little grave markers. Then decorate your cups with the peep ghosts, forcing them gently into the pudding to stand upright, along with your grave markers as you like.

Finally, sprinkle the 'mud' mixture on top to give a fresh grave look. Add in the mini pumpkin candies, gummy worms, Halloween sprinkles, or whatever spooky touch you wish!

You can either chill the cups or serve them right away.
