2cupsItalian style breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs
Canola oilfor frying
Marinara saucefor dipping
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Mix the cream cheese, spinach, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until well combined.
Line a square baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Spread the mixture evenly in a thick layer and freeze for 30 minutes.
While the mixture freezes, whisk together the eggs and milk in one bowl. Place the flour in a second bowl, and the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
Once the dip is completely frozen, remove it from the pan and cut into 1/2 inch strips. Slice the strips in half to make sticks. Keep the sticks frozen as you bread them.
Dip each stick first in flour, then in the egg mixture, then in breadcrumbs. Repeat dipping in the eggs and breadcrumbs once more.
Set the breaded sticks aside on a plate.
Heat canola oil in a skillet. Fry the sticks for about 30 seconds to a minute on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy outside, ensuring the dip melts inside.
Drain the cooked sticks on paper towels. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
