2packages3 ounces each strawberry-flavored gelatin
2cupsboiling water
2packages16 ounces each thawed frozen sweetened sliced strawberries
Optional: Extra whipped topping and pretzels
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Mix the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Press this mixture into an ungreased 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes and then let it cool on a wire rack.
In a separate bowl, beat the whipped topping, softened cream cheese, and sugar until smooth. Spread this filling evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate until it is thoroughly chilled.
Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water in a large bowl. Add the sliced strawberries to the gelatin and chill until it begins to set.
Once the gelatin mixture is partially set, gently spoon it over the cream cheese filling in the baking dish. Refrigerate the entire dish until firm, which takes about four to six hours.
Cut the chilled strawberry pretzel salad into squares. If desired, garnish with extra whipped topping and pretzels before serving.
