Apple Pie With Caramel Drizzle

Sharing is caring!

Thanksgiving has many traditions and some people are particularly fans of pumpkin pie so what about an autumn apple pie? This is the best recipe I’ve ever tasted and until this one, apple wasn’t at the top of my dessert list. Don’t be afraid of the crust and the difference it makes is so worth it!!! You really want to knock it out of the park, well darlin’ serve it warm with a little brown sugar or caramel ice cream or vanilla with a warm caramel sauce drizzled over it. Shut the door and grab a fork!

  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 generous cup of shortening
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 3-4 tablespoons cold water

  • 6-7 apples, depends on type and size and how high you want your pie
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Caramel Glaze:
