Dogger (Hamburger in a Hot Dog Bun)

Sharing is caring!

Who would have thought, that a different shape would make such a big difference!

Let me tell you, with rolling your hamburger meat into a sausage, you get way more flavor out of it and you feel like eating more meat, than you actually do. The juices stay in the sausage, so you will never ever have a dry burger.

Four Dogger’s just need 1 lbs ground beef, and trust me, you will be totally satisfied after just one!
I know it sounds weird, but try it yourself to see the difference!

Put on it whatever you would put on your normal burger and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons hamburger spice
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (prevents shrinking and drying out)

Directions:

In a large bowl bring together the ground beef, BBQ sauce, hamburger spice and baking powder

Knead for 5 minutes

Cover and place in fridge for at least 30 minutes (you can do that in the morning already to eat it for dinner)

Divide meat into 4 equal pieces and roll them into a sausage link

Spray a large skillet with cooking spray, bring over high heat and place sausages in it

Turn heat down to medium and cook until browned on all sides (it’s best to turn it every 2 minutes)

Place with your favorite toppings and sauce on hot dog buns and dig in 🙂
