Homemade Pico de Gallo

Sharing is caring!

I shared a recipe for Ultimate Venison Nachos that featured my recipe for Homemade Pico de Gallo, but today I decided that this Pico de Gallo needed a page of its own. If you’ve never made your own Homemade Pico de Gallo be prepared to be amazed at how stinkin’ easy it is.

This is all you need:

  • 2-3 Tomato
  • 3 tbsp of Diced Red Onion
  • 1 – 2 Jalapenos
  • 1/2 Bunch of cilantro
  • 2 tsp Minced garlic
  • 1/2 Juice of Lime
  • ½ tsp Salt

Now get out your cutting board and knife and get to choppin’!

Step 1 ~ 5 minutes

Dice 2 – 3 tomatoes,

and place them in a medium bowl.

Step 2 ~ 5 minutes

Dice 3 Tbsp of red onion and place them in the bowl with the tomato.

Step 3 ~ 2 minutes

Finely chop 1 – 2 jalapenos, deseeded.

These were very mild, but use your own judgement. For more heat leave the seeds in.

Step 4 ~ 2 minutes

Chop half a bunch of cilantro,

and place it in the bowl.

Step 5 ~ 1 minute

Add 2 tsp minced garlic to the bowl.

If using fresh garlic cut this back to 1 large clove.

Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the bowl.

Add ½ tsp salt to the bowl,

and stir it all together.

Cover the bowl and keep in the refrigerator until you’re ready for it. {Wasn’t that easy?}

Now that you have your Homemade Pico de Gallo made, use it to dress up any these recipes that call for Pico de Gallo!
