The Best Pancakes From Scratch

Have you ever had made from scratch pancakes? No, not even those made by adding water to a mix, I mean the real deal? If not, you owe it to yourself to try them at least once. The difference is beyond words – you know the difference in a paint by number and a masterpiece. You’re going to taste the difference in the first bite.

Why not have breakfast for supper – oh yeah, now you’re talking!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl, whisk, set aside.

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 beaten eggs

Directions:

Combine the wet ingredients in a second bowl, whisk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk until just combined.

Fry in a pan with butter. Top with maple syrup.

Don’t skimp on the ingredients – use real butter and real vanilla extract, but especially real maple syrup and real buttermilk.
