Old Fashion, Shortbread Cookie

Ingredients

butter softened

cup
sugar
1/2
cup
confectioners’ sugar

cups
all-purpose flour
1/2
cup
cornstarch
1/2
tsp
salt
Instructions
In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl combine flour, cornstarch and salt.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the cream mixture.
Chill dough for 15 minutes. Roll into a 15x2x1 rectangle. Chill again for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and place 2 inches apart on engrossed baking sheets. Prick with a fork.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
