Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9 or 10-inch square baking dish or a cast iron skillet using the softened butter.
In a sizable bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and honey.
Gently stir until the mixture is just combined—be careful not to overmix!
Transfer the batter into your prepared baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is a lovely golden brown.
Allow the cornbread to cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting it into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!
