In a large mixing bowl, use a mixer to beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until it's light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing well until combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, hot cocoa mix, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix this dry blend into the butter mixture until everything is just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Mallow Bits.
Cover the dough and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours for better flavor.
When you’re ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350°F. Use a tablespoon to drop balls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let them cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
