Homemade Chicken and Dumplings

Sharing is caring!

This was a recipe that we kind of just put together when I wanted me some chicken and dumplings, so all of the measurements we used may not be technically accurate, as well as we used a small square pan since this was just for the two of us.

If you are looking to serve more you might have to adjust the recipe accordingly.

We got our pizza crust mixture at Walmart, their really easy to make, all you have to do is add water and stir.

Mix together your 1 bag of pizza dough. This will be used as the dumplings, if you would rather use biscuits that is fine too.

Pull off pieces of pizza dough (dumplings) and place in bottom of pan. We made ours into little balls, and the end product turned out a little doughy in the center, I would suggest making them flat rather than making balls.

Combine 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1/3 Cup mixed veggies, and 1 can of chunk chicken.

Pour mixture into pan over your first set of “dumplings”.

Add rest of pizza dough pieces “dumplings”.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until done. The thicker you make your “dumplings” the longer it will take them to fully cook.

Cool then serve.

My husband is one of those people who really likes cheese, so we usually end up adding it to most of our dinner projects.
