When you hit up a street fair or amusement park, what food stand do you hit up first? For me, it’s always the frozen lemonade stand. Followed by the dough-boy cart, and then maybe a slice of pizza, I make sure to grab a few pieces of taffy…etc, etc. But now, I can skip the long lines and overpriced admission tickets and make my own frozen lemonade at home. There’s nothing better than sitting on my back deck with a frozen lemonade on a warm summer night, watching the sun go down while the dog chases fireflies around the yard. That my friends, is the epitome of a perfect summer night.
There are three different way to go about making frozen lemonade. I found the best results were when using an ice cream maker, but if you don’t have one, you can simply use a blender or just a baking dish in the freezer. Use your favorite lemonade recipe or store-bought brand. You don’t have to limit yourself to just lemonade – this process would work well for frozen Cokes, ice teas, and Kool-Aid! I see lots of frozen drinks in my future this summer!
