You will need:
- Onions and garlic (firm and free of blemishes)
- Brown lunch paper bags
- Paper clips for closing the bags
Instructions:
You should poke many holes in the top half of the paper bags in order to ensure good ventilation. You can also fold the bag in half lengthwise, punch along one edge, flip the folded bag over and punch along the other edge. Leave about 1″ between punches.
Then, fill the bag to the half, fold over the top of the bag, and paper clip it to hold the top down.
Keep the bags in the kitchen, but away from direct sunlight.
By storing your garlic and onions in this way, you will always have a fresh supply of these healthy veggies, as they can last for months.
