Pineapple Diet: Here’s How You Can Lose Weight

Lunch

You have choices (such as grilled tuna with 1 cup of pineapple)

Prepare in advance a large batch of vegetable broth (ready to eat whenever you want it).
Perform some light exercise during those five days
Control yourself once the diet is over, don’t binge eat and undo all your good work.
Opt for the oil-packed version of tuna, not the water-packed version.
There is a possibility of diarrhea, be prepared for that.
If you get rashes around the corners of your mouth, stop diet immediately.
If the problem occurs of eating only pineapple, tuna, and chicken, you can always try an alternative approach.

Alternative approach

Cut 500 calories from your usual diet.
Replace your daily cup of fruit with pineapple (recommend 1 to 2 cups of fruit per day).
Replace your dessert with a ½ cup of pineapple.

Useful Tip

All throughout the diet days, keep yourself hydrated. This will help maintain balanced pH levels in the body and prevent acidity.  In addition, try to get 5 hours of moderate cardio exercise during the week.

Like any diet, the pineapple diet has its pros and cons. You decide if it’s right for you.

Cons:

Can be monotonous because it includes just a few ingredients.
You may become dehydrated, so you need to consume plenty of fluids.
If used for a prolonged period of time, it can increase the risk of heart disease and kidney problems.
