My oldest thinks everything tastes better with BBQ sauce on it…..EVERYTHING. There’s nothing like slaving away in a kitchen over what you feel is an amazing dinner and watching your child douse it all in BBQ sauce. I am ashamed to say that I have thought of grounding this girl from it…serious face…I have.
To try and make her happy, I try to make her BBQ chicken at least once a week. While I love a good BBQ, one can only take so much store bought sauce before you yearn for something different. Something exciting, exotic, sweet, tangy, and stick to your fingers scrumptious.
I decided to play…..and what was born was what my kids call East Meets West BBQ Sauce. Why east meets west? What better name for a BBQ dish whose sauce contains cola and hoisin sauce as two of the ingredients!! Wait!!!!! Don’t go….it’s time for you to trust a stranger. Your tummy will thank you.
