I just got done eating homemade pizza, and I even made the dough from scratch! Yeah, that’s right. I totally ROCK! And you know what? It was SO EASY! It only took about 5 extra minutes than it would have taken to load up the Boboli. I just had to plan ahead so I could get my stuff in the bread machine early enough for the dough to do it’s thing, but it was so worth it.
Here is the recipe I used for the dough:
Homemade Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning but I was out of Italian seasoning so I used pizza seasoning instead
- 2 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to the bread pan in this order (or however is recommended by your bread machine. But it’s probably this order).
- Select the dough cycle and let it go. When it’s done, take it out and roll or stretch the dough out to fit your pizza pan.
- I sprinkled it with cornmeal because it was really sticky. I put my dough into a rectangle cookie sheet and it made for a nice thick crust..
- So I had my pan full of pizza dough and then proceeded to top it with sauce (I used Boboli sauce, 2 packets), pepperoni, cheddar and a couple shredded string cheese sticks (hey! They were the only mozzarella cheese I had on hand!).
- I popped it into my oven at 425 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes. YUM! I will definitely do this again. The boys LOVED it! YAY!
