Tasteful Chicken bites with fresh green Broccolini in garlic and sesame garnishing. Easy and healthy meal to brake your everyday routine.
Chicken breast is the best meat for preparing. It has a mild taste and easily receives tastes from all herbs and seasoning. Every side dish is welcome. So, you will never go wrong with any. I just like to serve it with something colorful.
This time, as I was walking through the market, I came across a broccolini. It was so fresh and beautifully green that I couldn’t resist buying it for my chicken in a skillet. There was one zucchini just beside it but the broccolini won :-). It was a real pleasure washing it and preparing for the meal.
Ok, I acknowledge that broccolini can never be everyone’s favorite vegetable but at least give it a chance. Just by looking at it your appetite can grow. Mine is :-).
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 pound boneless chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Curcuma (Turmeric) powder
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 2 cups Broccolini cut in bite-sized pieces
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 spoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions:
Cut the chicken breast in 1 inch-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper.
Grease the skillet with extra virgin olive oil and heat it over the medium heat.
Spread the chicken pieces in the skillet and cook. After 15 minutes add the Turmeric powder and soy sauce. Cook for 5 minute more and take it off the heat. In the meanwhile, put the broccolini pieces in a bowl with salty boiling water.
Cook it for 10 minutes and transfer into the skillet adding minced garlic and a spoon of extra-virgin olive oil.
Cook for 3 minutes and serve in the same skillet with chicken.
Sprinkle the meal with sesame seeds.
If you think the chicken is too dry at the end, while the skillet is still hot add 2-3 tablespoons of chicken broth and stir.
