Delicious Applesauce Donuts with Maple Glaze. Fall has arrived and it is time to whip up some new recipes for your family. These donuts are baked not fried. Set a plate of these donuts in front of your husband, kids, friends or co-workers, along with a glass of apple cider and silence will happen.
Applesauce Donuts & Maple Glaze
Ingredients
Donuts:
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 1 cup heaped full applesauce
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder.
Maple Glaze:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp of Maple syrup
- 3/4 tsp maple flavor and
- 3 tsp milk.
Instructions
Donuts
- Mix everything in order, stirring well.
- Add 2 cups 100 percent whole wheat flour.
- Mix until combined.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray you donut pan. Fill 1/4 of the way full. Bake for 15 to 20 minute.
Maple Glaze:
- Stir everything together.
- Dunk top of the donuts in the maple glaze.
- Set on cooling rack to drip.
